Terms of Sale
You agree to comply with the following Terms of Sale, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and any other applicable terms presented on this page (collectively referred to as the “Terms”). Please review these Terms carefully, as they may impact your rights. These Terms govern your access to and use of Raian Food Equipment Inc.’s websites and all related platforms, including but not limited to websites, mobile sites, services, applications, and tools (collectively, the “Services”) where these Terms are displayed or made available, and which are owned or operated by Raian Food Equipment Inc. or its affiliates (collectively referred to as the “Company,” “we,” or “us”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must refrain from using the Services or purchasing any products.
Availability
In-stock items generally ship in 1-2 business days, but please note this is not a guarantee of a shipment date. For items shipping from the manufacturer, estimated processing times are dependent on factors such as product availability, manufacturing schedules, order volume, and supplier lead times. If we do not have enough stock on hand to fulfill your order, we will send you an email notification within 24 business hours. If you have a time constraint on your order, please respond to that email so that our team can work on a solution for you.
Cancellation
We reserve the authority to void any order, refund, or shipment at our discretion and without notice. Additionally, Raian Food Equipment may deny service or terminate user accounts and access rights. Reimbursements will not be issued if such terminations are due to policy violations, fraudulent behavior, misuse of services, or actions deemed detrimental to the company or our clients.
Cancelling an Order
Similarly, once an order is placed, we cannot guarantee that it can be cancelled. If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. A cancellation and/or restocking fee may be deducted from your Refund Credit to cover the cost of cancelling the items and/or processing the items back into stock. This fee will be determined depending on factors like including, but not limited to, order processing stage, product condition, packaging, customization, and restocking logistics.
Customized products are non-modifiable, non-cancellable, and non-returnable.
Delivery/Installation Location
By requesting installation, you have to ensure that you have the authority and access to the delivery location. You shall cooperate in providing us or our agent with the necessary access for the delivery and, if applicable, set up of the product. You are responsible for determining the adequacy of the product for your needs and waive any and all claims against us for any conditions, whether known or unknown, to the delivery location and agree to indemnify us for any claims of third parties related to the delivery, unless caused by us.
Delivery/Installation Time
Estimated delivery and installation will be scheduled based on stock availability and project requirements. Delivery/Installation fees are subject to change based on factors like the delivery and/or installation location, the day and time of delivery and/or installation, and the assumption that installation will occur during normal business hours of Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM. Team Raian will contact you once your order has been placed to finalize your delivery/installation service price. Final scheduling will be confirmed prior to dispatch. Further, the date of installation is an estimate only and not a guarantee for delivery and installation completion.
Delays, if any, will be communicated in advance. Delays due to unforeseen circumstances will not be considered a liability.
Modifying an order
Once your order is placed, modifications may not be possible. For any modification requests, please contact our team immediately. Note that all custom products are non-modifiable, non-cancellable, and ineligible for return.
Pre-Installation On-Site Survey
Where required, our team will conduct a pre-installation on-site assessment to review site readiness and determine the scope, logistics, and applicable delivery and installation charges.
If the on-site survey identifies any issues prior to installation that result in additional charges, it will be your responsibility to pay. Our delivery/installation team may not require this service for all items, but it may be required if the unit must be taken up / downstairs.
Once the order has been placed, Team Raian will contact you if any issue related to it should arise.
Pricing changes and updates
While we strive to maintain consistent pricing, adjustments may occur in response to market and supply chain changes. All prices are subject to confirmation at the time of purchase.
For pending alternate payment / not fully paid orders, we reserve the right to apply manufacturers’ price increases to the order amount. If we receive notice of a manufacturers’ price increase on an unpaid order, we will contact you to inform you of the increased price, the additional payment required on the order, and the due date for that payment. Should you not provide the additional payment required on the order, we will cancel the order and refund the payment or issue a Refund Credit. In order to ensure that you receive the most accurate pricing on your order, we recommend that you pay in full prior to the effective date of the increase.
All prices are subject to change without notice. In the rare event that a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a Services’ error, WebstaurantStore will resolve the discrepancy, at our discretion, on all orders placed for the product listed at the incorrect price. This resolution may involve coming to an agreed upon price with the customer or a cancellation of the order, resulting in a full refund. We may elect, at our sole discretion, how to resolve a pricing error.
Receipt of Incorrect products
Should you receive an incorrect item, please ensure it remains unused and in its original packaging. Contact our Customer Solutions team, who will arrange for a refund or the shipment of the correct product. We may request a photograph of the item received, and we will handle all return shipping costs
Resolution of Disputes and Governing Law
1. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions, together with any quotation, order, sale, invoice, delivery, or other transaction with Raian Food Equipment (“Raian,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory applicable law requires otherwise.
2. Good-Faith Resolution of Disputes
If a dispute arises out of or relates to these Terms, a quotation, an order, a sale, equipment, delivery, payment, warranty, repair, return, or the use of our website, the parties are encouraged to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith written communication.
Nothing in this section requires either party to delay urgent legal proceedings, the enforcement of an applicable limitation period, or any action reasonably necessary to protect its legal rights.
3. Courts and Jurisdiction
Subject to applicable law, any dispute that is not resolved informally may be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction in the Province of Alberta. Each party submits to the jurisdiction of those courts to the extent legally permitted.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory right a customer may have to bring proceedings in another court or forum where applicable law provides that right.
4. Arbitration
Where legally permitted, the parties may agree in writing to submit a particular dispute to final and binding arbitration after the dispute has arisen. Any such agreement shall identify the applicable arbitration rules, the process for appointing the arbitrator, the place of arbitration, and the allocation of arbitration fees.
No provision of these Terms requires a consumer to submit a consumer dispute to arbitration where such a requirement is prohibited by applicable law. Nothing in this section prevents a party from exercising any non-waivable statutory right to pursue a claim through a court, tribunal, or other authorized process.
5. Legal Costs and Expenses
To the extent permitted by applicable law and the applicable court or tribunal rules, Raian may seek recovery of reasonable legal fees, court costs, collection expenses, and other reasonable costs incurred in enforcing its contractual rights or recovering overdue amounts. Any award of costs or legal fees remains subject to the discretion and authority of the applicable court, tribunal, or arbitrator.
Unless otherwise required by law or ordered by the applicable decision-maker, each party shall bear its own legal expenses.
6. Individual Claims and Class Proceedings
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, each party agrees that claims arising from a transaction with Raian should be brought individually rather than as part of a class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding.
This provision applies only to the extent such a restriction is legally enforceable and does not waive any non-waivable statutory right or prevent participation in a proceeding where such participation cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Protection of Confidential Information and Intellectual Property
Nothing in these Terms prevents Raian from seeking urgent or appropriate relief from a court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property, trademarks, confidential business information, trade secrets, or other legally protected interests, or to prevent unauthorized use or disclosure of such information.
This section does not limit any other remedy available to Raian under applicable law.
8. Applicable Limitation Periods
Any claim must be commenced within the limitation period prescribed by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to shorten a statutory limitation period where such a reduction is prohibited or unenforceable, or to extend a limitation period where an extension is prohibited by law.
All parties remain responsible for complying with applicable limitation periods and procedural requirements.
9. Severability
If any provision of this section is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
10. No Waiver of Mandatory Rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or waives any right, remedy, warranty, protection, or obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or waived under applicable law. If a provision conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, the mandatory requirement shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.
Applicable Laws
These Terms of Use shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to any conflict of law rules that would result in the application of laws of another jurisdiction.
Notice to Residential Customers
While Raian Food Equipment caters to those in the commercial food service industry, we provide certain items like smallwares to residential customers as well. As a residential customer, please consider the following information when placing your order:
Our refrigeration and cooking equipment are designed for commercial use and are not intended for residential use. Commercial refrigeration and cooking equipment:
- Is designed for functionality and heavy use commercially, and may not meet your expectations in terms of aesthetics or ease-of-use.
- Is often much louder than a comparable non-commercial piece of equipment.
- Consumes much more power than consumer-style equipment
- It is not insulated as thoroughly as consumer-level equipment and generates much more heat. Many pieces of commercial equipment also require a ventilation hood system, and a fire-suppression system to adhere to local fire and building codes.
- Installed in a non-commercial setting would most likely void your homeowner's insurance and the equipment manufacturer's warranty.
Packaging
Packaging that is used during shipment is designed to keep the contents of your order safe from damage or mishandling of products. On occasion a shipment will be received with damage to the packaging. Because the packaging is designed to protect the products that we ship, compensation will not be offered for packaging damage. If the actual items in your shipment are damaged, please contact us right away so we can arrange for compensation or replacement. Occasionally we will ship items in recycled boxes which may contain descriptions unrelated to the products inside in an effort to be more eco-friendly. This practice also allows us to cut costs on packaging which then is reflected into lower prices on our items. Be sure to inspect the actual items inside of the packaging before refusing a shipment due to incorrect information on the boxes.
Alternative Payments (Cheque, E-Transfer, Credit Card, Debit card)
We accept check, money order, and wire transfers for orders with an order total of $500.00 or greater. The order will be placed on hold until payment has been received.
Once payment is cleared, the order will be released to process for shipment. Checks will be held for 5 business days from when they are processed while they clear. All other alternative payment orders will be released as soon as the payment is received, with a minimum of 1 business day delay to receive payment.
Charges and Authorizations
Credit and debit card providers differ in how long they will hold an authorization for a pending transaction. Authorizations and/or pending transactions will hold these funds on your bank account, which can result in overdraft fees. WebstaurantStore assumes no liability for fees in the event of such an overdraft. If you have been charged in full but your order has not yet shipped, you may choose to cancel your order. If you would like to cancel your order, please contact Team Raian to confirm your order has not shipped and process your cancellation. Please be aware that some orders may not be cancelled or may be charged a fee, such as orders for customized products or orders that have shipped.
Currency
All pricing is listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) on the website. When ordering outside Canada, the funds captured for an order will be converted to the local currency of the ordering country on your credit card statement. The rate of exchange is locked in when your order ships, not when the order is placed. Credit card companies may also charge a currency conversion fee. Please contact your card issuer for further details.

Equipment Installation Checklist
As an operator, you invest significant effort into researching gear, weighing new versus used options, and finding the best shipping rates. However, it’s easy to overlook the critical step: the delivery itself. To ensure a seamless setup, we’ve developed a checklist to keep your team organized and efficient the moment your equipment arrives.
1. Planning for Your Delivery
Before scheduling, determine the best time of day for installation to ensure your schedule remains clear. Poorly timed deliveries can create chaos, with equipment arrivals clashing with food shipments or installation crews for limited parking, dock space, and corridor access. Since equipment must be on-site before the installers arrive, ensure a team member is ready and properly equipped to receive the shipment. You should also confirm that a secure staging area is available and immediately inspect all packaging for any visible signs of damage.
2. Logistics and Offloading
Most commercial units require a loading dock or a truck liftgate for safe removal from the delivery vehicle. For a smooth installation, confirm that these tools are available on-site; if they are not, alternative arrangements must be made in advance. If you have any questions regarding liftgate requirements, please discuss them with the shipping carrier or the team at Raian Food Equipment.
2. Confirm Building Access
Your entrance or delivery door must be wide enough to accommodate the equipment's dimensions. If an elevator is required, verify that both the door opening and the interior volume can fit the unit. Additionally, check the elevator’s licensed weight capacity; commercial equipment is heavy, and exceeding these limits is a safety violation. If the unit must travel through hallways, ensure the path is clear of tight bends or narrow passages that could obstruct movement.
3. Verify Utility Requirements
Incorrect utility connections are the most common cause of equipment failure.
- Electrical: Ensure the voltage, phase, and amperage of your building match the unit’s specifications. Confirm that the supplied wiring and plug are compatible with your outlets and long enough to reach them safely.
- Gas: Verify that your facility provides the correct fuel type (Natural Gas or Propane) and maintains sufficient pressure for the unit to operate efficiently.
- Elevation: High altitudes affect performance. If you are operating at a significant elevation, gas orifices must be calibrated specifically for your location.
4. Water Availability and Quality
For water-reliant gear like steamers, combi-ovens, or dishwashers, ensure a water source is located at or very near the installation point.
- Pressure & Volume: Confirm your plumbing can meet the specific PSI and flow rate requirements of the machine.
- Quality: In hard water areas, a water softener is essential to prevent scale buildup.
- Drainage: Ensure a proper drain is accessible. Decide in advance if you need PVC or copper piping and verify if the unit requires a hot or cold water connection to optimize recovery times.
5. Ventilation and Hood Requirements
If installed under a hood, the hood depth must fully cover the unit. Generally, you need at least 12" of overhang from the front of the equipment to the edge of the hood. If adding new units to an existing line, confirm that your hood’s airflow (CFM) is powerful enough to handle the additional heat and exhaust without compromising the performance of your other equipment.
6. Review Specs and Regulations
Always consult the manufacturer’s "spec sheet" for specialized installation needs. For equipment purchased through Raian Food Equipment, you can find these documents on our website or by contacting our team. Additionally, research local health and fire codes to ensure you have the required ventilation and certifications to remain compliant with the law.
7. Clear the Space
New equipment cannot be positioned until the old units are removed. Plan to have the space cleared before the delivery arrives. If your new shipment is delayed or arrives with damage, keep your old equipment nearby so it can be temporarily reconnected if necessary to keep your kitchen running.
8. Ensure a Level Surface
To function correctly, equipment must be installed on a level plane. This is especially critical for floor units in kitchens with sloped floors for drainage. Ensure your installation site is flat or choose equipment with adjustable legs to compensate for floor pitch.
9. Follow the Manual
Once the site is ready and the equipment has been delivered, Team Raian can assist in the installation. If it’s a self install, follow the manufacturer’s specific instructions for installation or if needed hire a certified third-party professional. Before the first start-up, thoroughly inspect the unit to ensure all packing materials, plastic films, and debris have been removed from burners and internal compartments.
11. Staff Training and Demonstration
Once installed, conduct a thorough demonstration for the staff who will operate the gear. If you are unfamiliar with the unit, we recommend arranging a session with a manufacturer representative. Ensure you have enough food product on hand for testing and start-up demonstrations.
Raian Food Equipment provides support to help reduce the stress of upgrading your kitchen. Following this checklist ensures a seamless transition and keeps your line moving without interruption.
